What to expect in your first Reflexology Appointment
New clients are asked to fill in a form providing contact details and a brief medical history.
The therapist will spend 10 minutes gathering further information about the client’s current issues and past injuries, episodes of pain or immobility, operations, or illnesses.
The therapist will discuss with the client their expectations in relation to this treatment.
Treatments usually last for 25 minutes or 50 minutes.
After the treatment clients often report that the feet feel ‘lighter’, or that they are ‘walking on air’. Sometimes the absence of pain is the most remarkable experience.
After the treatment clients are encouraged to drink water and move often throughout the day.
A follow-up treatment within a week may be required to ensure the body holds the changes.
A long-standing injury may require regular ongoing treatments.
This can be discussed with the therapist at the completion of the treatment.
